Please find the below functionalities that MediStore-Soft has:

1)   Log in to MediStore-Soft:

User will have unique User ID and Password to enter to the ‘MediStore-Soft’ application.

Wrong User ID and/or Password will not let the user to login to the application.

2)   Menu: 

After logging in to the application ‘Menu’ page will open where below option will be available:

i)     Add New Medicines to stock

ii)    Search/Update Stock Records

iii)   Sell and Bill

iv)   Sale History

v)    Add Users

vi)   Reset Password

vii)  Update Shop Details

Also two urgent notifications are displayed here: Medicine Expiry Notification and Out Of Stock Notification.

3)   Add New Medicines to stock:

After new medicines are purchased to the store they need to be recorded into the application ‘MediStore-Soft’. After entering all the medicine details click on the ‘Load’ button and it will add the medicine to the application successfully. Please note all the details need to be filled and none of the fields cane be left blank.

  

4)   Search/Update Stock Records:

This page will help you to find out records of the stored medicines. You can search medicines by batch numbers or medicine names. Also if you want to update any details of the medicine record you can update that in this page.

Example: Suppose medicine ‘XXXX’ was previously stored in the rack number ‘X5’. Now you want to move it to ‘X6’, then you can update this information in the system record, so that next time when you search this medicine you can get the exact rack number.

To do that, first of all you have to search the medicine ‘XXXX’. Please find the below snapshot how the search/update page looks like:

Enter few letters of the medicine name or batch number in the ‘Search by Medicine Name’ text box and click on the search button. You will see that medicines, whose names match with the letters that you had entered, will be displayed with all the information that were entered while loading it to the system. But you will see that you cannot edit the records that are displayed there. If the intended medicine name is present there, click on the radio button that is available at the left hand side of the displayed record. Now change the rack number from ‘X5’ to ‘X6’ and click on ‘Update Record’ button that is present at the right hand side of the particular record. The changed information will be successfully saved into the system.

5)   Sale and Bill:

This page is the most usable page for your Medical Store. After opening this page you will get the ‘Retail Invoice’ bill format. There at the top of the page shop details will be displayed (All the shop details can be updated in ‘Update Shop Details’ page).

To sale medicine to new customer you need to enter customer details and click on ‘Add Customer’ button. It will successfully add the customer into the system and it will automatically generate a Customer ID and display.

For old customers, enter few letters of any of the fields: ‘Customer Name’, ‘Customer Address’ or ‘Contact Number’. Then click on the ‘Retrieve Customer’ button. It will automatically display the old customer details that matches with the letters you entered. To retrieve customer details by Customer ID, you need to click on the radio button that is available at the bottom of the ‘Customer ID’ field. It will make the customer ID field enable. Then enter the customer ID and click ‘Retrieve Customer’. It will retrieve details of the old customer.

Now enter the batch number of the medicine and click on ‘Check’ button. It will give the medicine name. Same can be done if exact medicine name is given and clicked on the ‘Check’ button. Now enter other sale details like number of medicines for sale, sale rate per item etc. Then click on ‘Calculate Total’ button. It will give the total cost of the medicine as per Sale Rate. At the bottom it will display the Grand Total value including VAT (VAT% can be set in ‘Update Shop Details’ page). Now click on ‘Save and Print’ button. It will update the sale record into the system and number of the medicine sold will get subtracted from the record of that particular medicine. An auto generated ‘Invoice Number’ will be displayed in the bill. Also you can print the bill from the print preview opened there.

6)   Sale History:

Here you can check which and how many medicines were sold to which customer on which date. You can search the sale history by date or by medicine name.

  

On clicking the search button, it will display all the related sale history with all info mentioned in above snapshot.

7)   Reset Password:

User can anytime reset his/her password. User will have to put the User ID, old password and new password and click ‘Reset’ button. It will reset the password. Next time onwards user will be able to login to the application with the new password. 

8)   Add User:

Users having ‘Admin Access’ will be able to see the ‘Add User’ button on the ‘Menu’ page. So only the admin users can add new users for logging into the system with unique User ID and Password. Admin user will decide whether the new user will have ‘Admin Access’ or not.

Admin user will give a temporary password to the new user and the new user will have to reset the password.

9)   Update Shop Details:

This page also is accessible for ‘Admin Users’ only. After installing this ‘MediStore-Soft’ Application, admin user (usually shop owner) is supposed to update the shop details in this page. Based on these details like Shop Name, Address, Registration Number, VAT% etc. will be displayed in the bill.
